The former John Bassett Memorial Library, built in 1959 with a capacity of 1,500 students, has become the new Library and Learning Resource Centre which can now accommodate the more than 3,500 Bishop’s University and Champlain Regional College students who use this facility.
A stimulating study environment
The new Library and Learning Resources Carrefour offers its students a stimulating environment and multiple venues for collaboration and learning.
“The new Library and Learning Resources Carrefour is a concrete illustration of Bishop’s commitment to academic excellence. It is an exceptional resource for learning, teaching and research that will allow students to unleash their curiosity, creativity and innovation,” said Bishop’s University Principal Michael Goldbloom, C.M.

10 product collections were deployed for this prestigious project. Durable, quality products selected by the architect from our many brands including Artopex, Teknion, Studio TK, Keilhauer, Bouty, Tusch and Global. All of this was done by 2 of EMBLM’s 5 business locations.
This project benefited from the expertise and services of two of EMBLM’s sites, the Montreal and Sherbrooke offices. The client thus had access to a large number of brands and to the unparalleled service of EMBLM’s teams present in the 4 corners of Quebec.
